The inauguration of GoI assisted projects (Parallel Taxiway, Cargo terminal, substation and Modification of Departure Terminal) was held on 24th July 2018 at 9:30am in Paro International Airport. The projects were inaugurated by His Excellency Lyonpo D.N Dungyel. Hon’ble Yab, the representative from Indian embassy, the second secretary (Economic and education) Ms. Nidhi Dhiman, Hon’ble Secretary MoIC, Hon’ble Secretary MFA and other dignitaries from various organizations attended the program. The program started at 9:30am with a welcome speech by the Hon’ble Secretary MoIC after which the Chief Guest addressed the gathering. The program ended with a vote of thanks by the Director, DoAT followed by a cultural performance by RAPA.
The approved outlay from GoI for the 11th FYP was Nu. 799.82M. GoI had contributed Nu. 185M for the development of Paro Airport in the 10th FYP.
